Fire them All

The State Department currently has problems getting their employees to work in Iraq at the new embassy. All these "diplomats" who will not serve in Iraq should be fired and lose their pensions. These people serve at the pleasure of the Secretary of State and get to live all over the world on our dime and get paid a fortune with great benefits. These guys all want good postings and don't want to work in areas that may be unsafe. I have actually been a guest at the embassy in Israel and that building was much more dangerous than the new Iraq embassy. The embassy in Tel Aviv actually have negative setback, the building overhangs the street. You want to know whats on the street. Marines with M-16's and swabs that detects bomb ingredients. Get a life boys we need diplomats in Iraq to maintain our diplomatic relations.

Phone Gate Continues

The cover up continues Indiana has fired an assistant Basketball coach in an attempt to stop the NCAA investigation into Kelvin Sampson's phone call addiction. Kelvin I cheered your signing as our new coach and blew off the initial phone stuff as evidence of OU's inability to play by the rules. But it appears Kelvin can't keep off the phone. Kelvin if you are going to cheat you need to win titles. IU may have a had a bad couple of decades but at least we were not cheating. You need to take responsibility for this crap, and if you can't play straight move on.

New French President

Most of my close friends know that I have been in the past a very big French basher. I don't support any other thier products and refer to them at almost any opportunity as cheese eating surrender monkeys. But this new French President has been slowly turning me around. He current bonifide is that he wants each French School to read the letter written by a Resistance fighter right before he was killed by Nazi occupiers in 1941. The school teachers do not like his influence in the their curriculum. The would prefer to teach thier students about the dumb Americans and mistakes in the war on terror.

The teachers should jump at the opportunity to remind the children about the atrocities faced by their country during the war and countless lives lost by Allied Forces who stormed the beaches to drive the Nazis back over the Maginot Line.

The Green Jerseys

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish like to pull out the Green Jerseys in order to raise the moral of the fans and players. But to pull them out for the USC game was stupid. They only shot Notre Dame had to win was if the entire USC squad except the scout squad came down with an intestinal virus and could not play, then maybe they would have had a shot. Coach Wies made a big mistake he should have kept the Green Jerseys in the locker room until the Navy game their win streak against Navy is the only bright spot of the ND season. I wish my alma mater had scheduled ND this season.

The World May End

It is within the realm of possibility that Kansas could play for the BCS Championship. Kansas has to play Missouri, Texas A&M, Colorado, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, and Iowa State. Plus they will have to play in and win the Big 12 Championship. A very brutal list for the Jayhawks but at least they control their own destiny unlike LSU, Florida, USC, Oklahoma and Kentucky.
Only Ohio State, Boston College and Arizona State still control their destiny.

The bloom is off the rose for the South Florida Bulls. They will plummet in the rankings now. The undefeated watch now turns to Kansas and Arizona State.

The old George Steinbrenner would have just fired a manager. This time he offered Joe Torre two options. First option take a pay cut, option two don't let the door hit your butt on the way out. Joe made the better decision. Why put up with George for 5 million. After that NY tax rate you were only looking at 2.5 million or $15,000 a game. Who could work for those slave wages.

Chester Styles a child molester from Pahrump, NV was caught in Las Vegas this week. I think if you look in the Webster's for child molester it has a picture of Chester. One of my colleagues has commented that he has a "molestache." Maybe he will get to bunk in with OJ. My guess is that his a-hole will look like the Holland Tunnel after a few weeks in the can. If you want to see a good dark movie go see Eastern Promises. Viggo Mortenson turns in an Oscar worthy performance as a hitman/driver for the Russian Mob in London. It has the most gruesome scene to ever take place in the sauna.

Please don't Buy the Cubs

I hope Marc Cuban's people search the web for comments about their boss. But this is a plea from person who is very good friends with several Cubs fans. Cub fans are not psychologically prepared for the torture you might inflict on them.

I just left the theater from your latest opus "We Own the Night" on which you were the executive producer. First I will start with the fact that I almost walked out and had I not been there with someone else I would have. Second you produced a movie staring Robert Duvall, Joaquin Phoenix and Mark Walhberg three men who are amazing actors and it was like watching a paint dry. A story about Russian drug dealers night clubs and the NYPD Blue and it was boring and lacked any real action.

Please don't make the two hours of hell inflicted on me be inflicted on the Cubs fans for next century.

IU Football?

I don't want to jinx the team but Indiana Football is 5-1 and has a real shot at a bowl game. When I attended IU we only had one good year and that was only 4 wins when Antwan Randle El almost by himself won four games. It is good to see IU Football back on the map. I believe that the late Coach Hep who passed away last year was the reason IU came back. I hope that the powers that be continue with his passion and we stay off the doormat and start a new tradition.
