What Happened to Monday Night Football

Monday Night Football is now the worst game of the week. The 49ers just put up a goose egg with only six first downs. Last week the Ravens only got five first downs. I imagine a high school team could have made six first downs against the porous defense of the mighty Seattle Seahawks. ESPN has gotten screwed on the deal they made with the NFL, I hope they didn't pay to much.

All my rowdy friends are not coming over for this steaming pile of crap each week.

Ohio State Buckeyes Classless Ass Clowns

Today after the Buckeyes were upset the Buckeyes showed their true colors again and started a fight with the Illini players as the left the field. For the readers of my blog who know me they have heard my story many times about how the Buckeyes clinched the Rose Bowl at Indiana and they and there fans took the field and proceeded to tear down our goal posts.

This loss may have cost my Hoosiers a trip to a bowl but it was sweet to see them lose.

Vikings no longer class act

The Vikings were starting to grow on me with a great new owner and good team players. But to dock a player a game check for going to his grandmother's funeral is terrible. Ziggy has billions of dollars and is going to make hundreds of millions on the new stadium with his land deals and he hits some poor bastard a game check who is making the league minimum. Almost every company in American gives you bereavement leave except the Vikings. You have re-taken your position at the bottom the class list. Might as well re-sign Warren Moon. A QB to who was the injured reserve for hurting his hand while beating his wife.

The Boy from Yazoo City

Haley Barbour easily won re-election today in Mississippi. It is proof that even though someone is a conservative they can win if they have proven they are good leaders. Katrina was a nightmare for the Gulf Coast and cost Kathrine Blanco her job. Haley went the other way and is working to rebuild Mississippi and the voters have rewarded him with four more years.

Go Green?

NBC has gone green for this weeks show in an attempt to show their environmental sides. They started the week with Matt Lauer live at the North Pole. I would imagine that you could heat 40 homes in Boston for the amount of fuel wasted to fly Matt to the North Pole. If you want Americans to live green promote shows in which the characters live green, use your PSA time to talk about local intiatives to promote fuel efficiancy. Not fly walking hairdos to the North Pole.

Football or Basketball

Today the Kansas Jayhawks beat the Nebraska Cornhuskers 76-39. My first thought was the Big 12 Basketball season started early. Much to my surprise it was a football score. As I write this blog it appears the Sun Devils are going down. If Kansas continues to play like they did today they have a shot. I only reiterate my prior blog that at least they control their own destiny.
